Chick Fil-A Superfood Side

It’s much easier and convenient to eat a healthy diet when you’re doing all of the cooking at home. It gives you complete control over what you make and how you prepare it. But let’s face it, at times life gets busy and grabbing a quick bite to eat at a fast food location may need to be an option. Or you may be headed out on a Friday night to enjoy a date or an evening out with friends at your favorite restaurant.

Even though you aren’t eating at home, there are still some great options for choosing foods that won’t take you too far off your healthy eating regimen. Thankfully, there are also a lot of fast food chains and restaurants that offer more menu items for the health conscious consumer. Periodically I plan to highlight my favorite menu items at various restaurants and fast food locations that will allow you to enjoy your meal more guilt free.

Today I want to highlight Chick-Fil-A. This is by far my favorite fast food chain because they already offer such great selections for the health conscious eater. With grilled nuggets, grilled chicken sandwiches and wraps, and fruit cups (to name a few), they offer a wide range of options for us healthy meal seeking folks.

In particular, I want to mention their Superfood Side Dish which includes a broccolini & kale blend, maple vinaigrette dressing and dried sour cherries with a roasted nut blend. When I tell you it is good, honey it is good!

With the small size having 150 calories and 8 grams of fat, it is healthier than eating a small waffle fry which has 280 calories and 14 grams of fat. The large size of the Superfood Side Dish (which I prefer) has 190 calories and 9 grams of fat. MUCH better than a large order of waffle fries which has 460 calories and 24 grams of fat.

Pair this Superfood Side Dish with some grilled nuggets or a grilled chicken sandwich and you’ve got yourself a guilt free meal on the go. Try it out if you haven’t already and let me know what you think.!
